Weee Anime Overload was a lot of fun, even though I was fooled when they said 60 booths – it barely had 20 There were a lot of lolita stuff being sold, but they were rather expensive so I didn’t get to buy anything (I only had P1000 budget ftw). I also saw a lot of dolls being showcased by cosplayers around the con, and I have to say that it made me think about a part-time job because I seriously want to buy this doll. I swear it’s one of the most beautiful dolls I’ve ever seen, and I’m thinking of using my XBox360 savings for it instead. I also met my fellow butler from Dokissaten cafe:

I also met some of my online friends but wasn’t able to get a copy of the picture – it’s still with my photographer friend and he seems reluctant with sharing our picture . I had fun with the Rockband demo though (pardon the game face)

Some events of note was the pocky dude. If you guys know pedobear (he’s a meme that appears during anime conventions and is usually taken in a picture with lolitas)now there was this guy running around with a digicam offering pocky to lolitas. A sample of our conversation were as follows:

Guy: *calls my attention* Miss can I take a picture of you?
Me: Oh, sure *strikes a pose*
Guy: Thank you!
Me: It’s ok *turns around to leave*
Guy: Wait!
Me: Huh? What?
Guy: *produces an opened box of pocky* Let me take a picture of you eating pocky.
Me: Uhhhh ok…

Honestly I was quite freaked out >< especially since the level of his digicam was parallel to my chest, so I’m not sure what he was taking a picture of >_>
